What are your support hours?
Blue Box Group provides 24-7 support for emergency issues, but our regular business hours are between 7AM and 7PM Pacific time, Monday through Friday. If you require support outside those hours, and your issue cannot wait until the next business day, please feel free to escalate your issue through our ticket or phone system (when you send us e-mail or leave a voicemail, instructions will be provided) and our on-call technician will be in touch ASAP.

What OS do you run on your servers?
You can chose between the following OSes for your setup: Centos 5.4 for your dedicated machines, and Centos 5.4, Debian 5.0, Archlinux 2009.08, or Ubuntu.
Is Blue Box Group PCI / HIPAA compliant?
We have extensive experience designing clusters and logical and physical server lay-outs which meet various types of information security compliance standards. We have clients hosting servers with us which meet the highest level of PCI certification, HIPAA certification and other industry-standard assurances of information security. We are experienced in defending against many different types of DOS, DDOS and general attacks. We are eager to help make sure you are able to meet the security and certification requirements you need to meet.
Migration
Can I schedule the migration?
Yes! We work with you to pick the most optimum time to get your site up and running on our servers. We want to have as little disruption to your customers as possible, and will work with you to schedule the best and quickest time do this. It's all part of our up and running support.
What is "up and running" support?
Once you've opened an account with us, we will help you in any way you need to get your site running/migrated/etc on your server with us. This includes but isn't limited to setting up DNS, setting up a web/database server, installing required applications, and transferring site files. We invite you to ask us if you're not sure whether or not something you need is covered, and rest assured, we will never charge you for any services without first providing a quote and confirming with you ahead of time.
Upgrades
What if I need something more specific?
We will always work with you to deliver the solution that you need. We have installed iSCSI SAN shelves, custom search appliances, and other non-standard hardware at our customers request. We'll do our best to get you the solution that you need!
What if I need to scale my solution?
No problem! Our technical consultants and support staff are standing by to help you scale your environment, to provide your customers with the experience that they deserve.
